Benefit of Mica Powder Pigment
Mica blocks have extremely high insulation and heat insulation performance, good chemical stability, and the ability to resist strong acids, strong alkalis and pressure. Therefore, they are important raw materials for manufacturing electrical equipment and can also be used as insulating materials inside hair dryers.
Mica also has birefringence ability, so it is also an optical instrument material for manufacturing polarizing light sheets.
Mica mining used in the electrical industry must be mica blocks with an effective area greater than 4 square centimeters, free of cracks and perforations, and the non-mica minerals on the edge must not exceed 3 millimeters. After mica is mined, its quality is classified into four categories based on the effective area. The best special category has an area greater than 65 square centimeters.
Application of Mica Powder Pigment
1.Decorative Coatings
Mica fragments and powders can be used as fillers, etc. Lithium mica is still the main mineral raw material for extracting lithium. Biotite is mostly present in deep-seated and shallow-seated rocks, especially in acidic or slightly alkaline rocks. Biotite is widely used in decorative coatings.
2. Paint

3. Ink
Pearlescent ink is more and more widely used in high-end packaging printing, such as cigarette bags, high-end wine labels, anti-counterfeiting printing and other fields.

5. Plastic

6.Cosmetics
The variety, performance and color diversity of cosmetics depend on the diversity of pigments used in them. Pearlescent pigments are widely used as cosmetics pigments because of their strong hiding power or high transparency, good color, wide spectrum and other characteristics.
7. In the Industry
Muscovite is the most widely used in industry, followed by gold mica. It is extensively applied in the building materials industry, fire protection industry, fire extinguishing agents, welding rods, plastics, electrical insulation, papermaking, asphalt paper, rubber, pearlescent pigments and other chemical industries.
