What's L-theanine?

 

Theanine (L-Theanine) is a unique non-protein amino acid, mainly found in green tea, especially in buds and leaves, accounting for about 1-2% of the dry weight.

L-Theanines are all L-shaped, and the pure product is colorless needle-like crystals with melting points between 217 and 218℃. Easy to soluble in water, slightly bitter and fresh and sweet. Insoluble in anhydrous ethanol and anhydrous ether.

Resistant to high temperatures, but may degrade under strong acids, strong alkalis or long-term storage.

What does L-theanine powder do?

 

1.Relieve stress and anxiety

It can promote the release of GABA sedative neurotransmitters and inhibit excessive glutamate excitation.

It is very effective for daily emotions. After drinking high theanine green tea, relieve tension within 15-30 minutes, which can relax muscles but be awake, reduce stress hormone levels, stabilize heart rate, and stabilize mood.

 

2.Improve concentration and cognition

L-Theanine can increase dopamine, serotonin, and regulate prefrontal cortex activity.

At work or study, especially under high pressure, eating L-Theanine and caffeine compound drinks can reduce the number of times you are distracted and enhance your detailed processing ability. What is the downside of taking L-theanine powder ?

 

1. If the gastrointestinal cotton is touching, taking high doses >400mg on an empty stomach may cause nausea and abdominal pain.

 

2. Patients with hypertension, combined with antihypertensive drugs may lead to hypotension, abnormal blood pressure fluctuations, and symptoms of dizziness and fatigue.

 

3. It is not recommended to take L-theanine related products for pregnant women/lactation and children under 12 years old. People are prohibited from taking it two weeks before the operation to avoid the risk of intraoperative bleeding.
